Table Runner
This is a reversible table runner I made about a week ago. Machine quilted it with simple free motion stipple stitch.

My Block for "2010 Art Bra Wall Hanging Project"
Yesterday I pieced this fan block using silk dupioni and silk shantung fabrics. I am making this block to be part of this years Art Bra Wall Hanging Project which is a quilt that will be donated to a cancer center or hospital. I belong to a special group of ladies who make blocks each year that will be made into a quilt wall hanging to be donated. You can see some of the other blocks made by the group and also the past blocks as well as the completed wall hangings from the past years by going to:

The burgundy trim has been cut, rearranged and hand sewn onto the block. I will also be embellishing the seams on the fan after I have picked out the threads and beads I want to use.
Orchid
I've been babying this Butterfly Orchid for the past year to bloom again. I received it 2 1/2 years ago in full bloom. It has two tall stalks that havn't done anything grow tall. About two months ago another has grown out that has some buds on it!!
Will post future growth progress.
