My Favorite Iris

Iris Blooms
The Iris blooms are so lovely! I wish they lasted longer. The dark one is just opening up. Can't wait to see it tomorrow. It was so dark it looked black before it opened up today.

Weiner Love...................................
Ginger was 3 yrs old a week ago. When she knows I have my camera she always comes to pose. She really wanted a close-up this time!
Awesome Fabric
I could not resist this awesome cotton fabric I found at JoAnn's over the weekend. The picture does not do it justice. It has gold metallic outlines and the colors just look So Spring and happy! Had to buy it with the thought of making a long quilted table runner for the dinning room table. It was 30% off in the calico fabric section.
"Yo Yo Row's" is my new quilt project!
Last week I received the June 2011 issue of American Patchwork & Quilting magazine in the mail. I fell in love with the quilt on the cover "Yo Yo Rows" and have already began making the approx 409 yo yo's. My background fabric I chose is Be Creative with M'Liss by M'Liss. My yo yo's will be made up of various fabric that I think will look good with this background fabric. I purchased an extra large yo yo maker by Clover and it is a wonderful tool for making so many yo yo's.
"Grandmother's Flower Garden" is Growing!
Last year in April I started working on this paper pieced quilt top. I completed 3 sections on it last year and then put it away until last month and picked up again to work on for awhile. I've completed 6 sections of it at this time. The bed I have it on in these pictures is a queen size bed. I've stopped working on it again for awhile so I can work on some other projects.
