My Block for "2010 Art Bra Wall Hanging Project"

Yesterday I pieced this fan block using silk dupioni and silk shantung fabrics. I am making this block to be part of this years Art Bra Wall Hanging Project which is a quilt that will be donated to a cancer center or hospital. I belong to a special group of ladies who make blocks each year that will be made into a quilt wall hanging to be donated. The burgundy trim has been cut, rearranged and hand sewn onto the block. I will also be embellishing the seams on the fan after I have picked out the threads and beads I want to use.
